More About Sienna

Sienna is a PhD student researching Antarctic Oceanography. She is also looking at Antarctic Bottom Water, which is a very cold & salty layer of water formed in Antarctica. It is integral for driving the global thermohaline circulation. Sienna’s interest is why it forms, how it forms, and the impact climate change may have on this critical water mass. She uses observational data (e.g. from ships & elephant seals) and modelling (using ROMS).
