Take The Chair’s Challenge- New Chair to match gifts to Foundation until 30 June, 2022

Prof Tony Haymet, new Chair of The Antarctic Science Foundation, is emphatic: this is the most exciting time in the last 30 years to be involved in Antarctic science.

 The Antarctic research community has recently been buoyed by the:

•           arrival of RSV Nuyina, Australia’s new icebreaker;

•           continued bipartisan support for Australian science in Antarctica and the Southern Ocean;

•           renewed commitment to conduct field research in East Antarctica;

•           commencement of the Million Year Ice Core project; and

•           announcement of new research positions and additional resources for the Australian Antarctic Program.

The Antarctic Science Foundation is poised to build on this momentum.

As a supporter, you are unique in your interest and commitment: you back the tenacious people and ambitious projects, providing the answers we need to flourish for generations to come.
